NYSC Batch ‘C’ Online Registration Guide

This is to inform all prospective corps members, i.e. Nigerians who have graduated from Universities and Mono/Polytechnics both home and abroad, that the NYSC registration portal will be opened from Saturday, 6th – Monday, 15th October 2018 to enable them register for the 2018 Batch ‘C’ mobilization.

Some Tips to guide PCMs during NYSC Online Registration:

  1. Do not thumb print by proxy. (Nobody should thumbprint for you; thumbprint should be done by you).
  2. Make sure the passport photograph uploaded is very clear.
  3. Do not forget the Username and Password used during your online registration.
  4. Apply for correction of spelling mistakes and rearrangement of names on your dashboard. It is ongoing even after the Orientation Exercise.
  5. Cross- check your records before submission to avoid wrong details.

  • The Website address is any of the following:
  •  Check Senate list for verification of your records.
  •  If you are registering for the first time, click on ” Registration for Mobilization 2018 Batch C”.
  •  If you have registered previously and did not complete your Registration or Submit, do not create a new account instead click on “Login Here” to continue your registration with your previous Username and Password.
  •  If you were mobilized in the previous Batches and have registered online before but unable to proceed to Orientation Camp, Click on “Revalidation” link to re-validate your registration.

In order to ensure a seamless registration, Prospective Corps Members (PCM) are to note the following for strict compliance:

  1. Prospective Corps Members should ensure that they have functional e-mail addresses that they can access and Nigerian (GSM) telephone numbers with which to register. Such e-mail address and phone numbers must be maintained throughout the service year.
  2. Locally trained PCM are expected to use correct Matriculation numbers to register.
  3. For locally-trained graduates, only those whose names appear in the Senate/Academic Board Approved Result lists submitted by their Institutions will have access to the register on the NYSC portal.
  4. Foreign-trained prospective Corps Members should NOTE that ONLY those that graduated from accredited institutions are qualified for mobilization. Any foreign-trained prospective Corps Member who is in doubt of the accreditation status of his/her institution should approach the Federal Ministry of Education for verification.
  5. Foreign-trained Nigerian graduates are to visit the NYSC portal, register and upload the following documents:
    1. West African School Certificate (WASC) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent
      or,
      General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent
      or,
      NECO (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent
      or,
      NABTEB (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent
      or,
      High School Diploma or its equivalent for those who attended school in the USA, etc.
    2. Certificates are not qualified to register.
    3. Complete official transcript of the First Degree or HND programme.
    4. International Travelling Passport showing the following pages;
      1. Personal Data.
      2. Visa to the country of study.
      3. Date of first departure to the country of study and
      4. Date of arrival in Nigeria.
    5. Graduates with dual nationalities are required to upload Personal Data Pages of both international passports and present the passports for physical verification at the orientation camp.
    6. It is the responsibility of the prospective corps members who studied in non-English speaking countries to get their Certificates and Transcripts translated into English language before uploading. The translated transcripts and certificates should also be presented for physical verification.
    7. All graduates of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Physiotheraphy, Radiology, Optometry, Medical Laboratory Science and Pharmacy are expected to have their Certificates of Registration with their professional bodies. Payment receipts are not acceptable.
  6. Foreign-trained graduates seeking mobilization for national service should NOT visit NYSCHeadquarters, Abuja, for physical verification of their documents. The exercise will be done at the orientation camps. They are to print their call-up letters online and report to the orientation camps in their states of deployment.Foreign-trained graduates are expected to go to the camps with the original documents they uploaded for verification.
  7. Provisional certificates, To Whom It May Concern, on-line print-out, scanned and photocopies of credentials are not acceptable.
  8. Foreign-trained graduates who registered for Exemption Certificate shall present all their original academic credentials and international passport for physical verification when they come to collect the certificate at the National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja.
  9. All foreign-trained graduates who registered and are excluded from service should also present original academic credentials and international passport at the NYSC NDHQ, Abuja, for physical verification before Exclusion Letters are printed on-line.
  10. All foreign-trained prospective Corps Members who registered but were not called up for service in the last batch should log on to the NYSC portal to revalidate their registration. This category of persons need not pay N3,000.00 (three thousand naira) again.
  11. Anybody who presents any fake document will be demobilized and decamped.
  12. Prospective corps members should ensure that Passport photographs used meet the following specifications:
    1. Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth and jaw) is fully shown without bending
    2. Ensure the picture fills the frame and centralized
    3. Ensure the Photo background is white or off-white with no shadow.
  1. On no account should prospective corps members register by PROXY. They should also remember the fingers used for their biometric capturing as these will be used for verification at the orientation camps. Those who cannot be verified with their biometric at the orientation camp will not be registered.
  2. Only prospective corps members who want their call-up numbers sent to them through SMS and wish to PRINT their call-up letters on-line are expected to pay the sum of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00) (see NYSC Portal on how to make payment).
  3. PCM who do not want to pay the N3,000.00 have the option of going to their schools to collect their call-up numbers and call-up letters.
  4. All prospective corps members who paid for the online registration before but were not mobilized need not pay again.
  5. Married female prospective corps members (whether locally or foreign-trained) should upload copies of their marriage Certificates, evidence of Change of name and their husbands’ place of domicile during registration.
  6. The orientation camp is highly not ideal for pregnant and nursing mothers. Prospective corps members in this category are therefore to note that they will not be accommodated.
  7. Prospective Corps Members with serious health challenge should indicate their TRUE HEALTH STATUS during registration to enable concessional deployment for them.
  8. Prospective corps members who graduated from institutions located in the following geo-political zones with challenges related to mobilisation should contact the under-listed telephone numbers:

    • South South – 08083201856
  1. All Part-time graduates are expected to register online and wait for collection of their Letter of Exclusion at their various Institutions. For those willing to print the Letter of Exclusion online, this can be done on payment of Three Thousand Naira (N3, 000.00) only.
  2. PLEASE NOTE THAT ONCE THE PORTAL IS CLOSED ON 15th October, 2018, THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER REGISTRATION.

The management of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has released the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization list (Senate Approved) for the 2018 prospective Batch ‘C’  corps members.

  • If you have applied for NYSC and have submitted your form to the Information Management System (MIS) Office of the Students Affairs and did not see your name in Batch ‘A’ and Batch B respectively, visit the student’s affairs Unit and confirm the status of your application.
  • Direct all questions regarding ‘date of birth’ ‘name correction’ to the Students Affairs Unit of the University. Timely technical attention will be given appropriately from the University’s ICT support unit for NYSC mobilization. Be aware of fraudsters who will ask you for money to fix date of birth issues for you.
  • If any error is confirmed in the spelling of your name, kindly apply for name correction in NYSC registration handle and notify the Directorate of the Student’s Affairs Unit.

The management of Ahmadu Bello University, ABU wishes to notify all aspiring candidate that the ABU IJMB & Remedial admission form for Ahmadu Bello University 2018/2019 has been released. Interested applicant should follow the lead below for successful application.


ABU IJMB & Remedial Admission Forms 2018

Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Basic (IJMB) and Remedial programmes for 2018/2019 Session.

  • The Basic (IJMB) programme is an Advance Level Programme intended for candidates aspiring to gain admission into any Nigerian University through Direct Entry (DE). It last for Twelve (12) months.
  • The Remedial programme last for at most Nine (9) months. At the end of the programme, successful students will be admitted into ABU Zaria.

ABU IJMB Admission Requirements.

 Basic (IJMB) Studies Programme

  1. Candidates for this programme must possess a minimum of five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings with any of the following subject combinations:

BS1: Biology, Chemistry, Physics;
BS2: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics;
BS3: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics;
BS4: Chemistry, Geography, Physics;
BS5: Mathematics, Geography, Physics.

  1. Candidates admitted for the Basic Studies Programme are also expected to register for 2019 JAMB Direct Entry Admission.
    iii.        The duration of the Basic Studies Programme is twelve (12) months only.

ABU Remedial Admission Requirements.

Remedial Studies Programme

  1. Candidates for this programme must possess at least three (3) credits in science subjects  (in not more than one sitting) with any of the under listed subject combinations and any two passes at ‘O’ level in the other subjects offered in the school.

RS1: Biology, Chemistry, Geography;
RS2: Biology, Chemistry, Physics;
RS3: Biology, Geography, Physics;
RS4: Chemistry, Geography, Physics.

  1. Candidates admitted for the Remedial Studies must register and pass at credit level the SSCE or NECO in the subjects they are deficient.
    iii.      Candidates must also register for the 2019/2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the minimum pass mark approved by the Federal Government and
    must choose Ahmadu Bello University as first choice.
    iv.        The duration of the Remedial Studies Programme is twelve (12) months only.

ABU Basic & Remedial Admission Method of Application.

  1. Interested applicants are to go to any of the following designated Banks nationwide to obtain an “E-Transaction Pin” in order to apply.
  2. You are to pay the sum of N 5, 000 at any of the following Banks viz: ABU Micro Finance Bank, First Bank, Unity Bank, UBA Bank and Zenith Bank for your “E – Transaction Pin” which the Bank will generate and print for you.
  3. Visit: www.sbrsabu.org website and click on the “Application” link from the Menu.
  4. A pop up dialogue box will open for you, requesting your “Teller Number” and “E-Transaction Pin” for validation.
  5.  Complete the form as required.  Note:  Uploading your picture (120px x 120px and 40kb) is required.
  6. After completing the form, a print preview page will be displayed for you to print. Simply click on the “Print” button to print your form. Print at least 2 copies for your perusal.
  7. You are to print your “Pre-Entrance Exam Card” in two (2) copies from the website also.
  8. You may wish to “reprint” or “edit”  your submitted form, by visiting the “Application” link again.
