Please Stop Uploading My Messages On Social Network – Pastor Adeboye Warns

adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor E.A Adeboye, has pleaded with youths in his church to desist from uploading his mess*ges on the social media, and spare him the torrents of backlash such upload can attract from millions of social media users.

He also begged not to be quoted.

This is coming after the pastor was widely upbraided over his counsel to young men and women concerning marriage.

Recall that some months ago, in a video, Pastor Adeboye warned women, “Don’t marry a man who has no job. Before God gave Adam Eve, he gave him a job.

He said, ‘This is the garden, keep it.’ So when anybody comes to you and say, ‘Sister, thus saith the Lord, you are going to be the star in my firmament,’ ask him — ‘What is your job?’”

In another video, he advised men, “Marry a prayer warrior! Don’t marry any girl who cannot pray for one hour non-stop. Don’t marry a girl who is lazy! If she is lazy when she is single, what will happen if she is married?

Following his mess*ges, many social media users had lambasted him.

The likes of the daughter of Victor Omololu Olunloyo – a former governor of Oyo State, Kemi Olunloyo, whose public criticism of people knows no bounds, called him a lunatic for his alleged unwise advice.

Among others, a former Nigerian Prophet and Evangelist Minister at Windows of Heaven Revival Outreach, London, United Kingdom, Folayan Osekita had faulted Adeboye’s warnings, saying people have their different stories when it comes to marriage.

But months after trolls called him out, Daddy G.O, as Adeboye is fondly called, has begged youths of the church to stop uploading his videos or quoting him on social media.

Speaking during the church’s youth program plenary session themed ‘vessels unto honour’ some days ago, the popular pastor pleaded with the participants to spare him the problem of social media by not uploading the program’s video on YouTube.

He said, “Spare me the problem.

“I’m not talking to you so that you can put me on YouTube,” the pastor pleaded.

Too Shocking!! Read How Taribo West Sabotaged Nigeria’s 2002 World Cup Chances – As Revealed By His Own Manager Onigbinde

oni

Super Eagles handler to the Korea/Japan 2002 FIFA World Cup, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, has claimed that his untouchable defender, Taribo West, sabotaged the team’s aspiration to do well in the competition by deliberately allowing opposing teams to score goals against the Nigerian team.

Onigbinde, revealed to Newtelegraph that, inviting the likes of Taribo, Jay Jay Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo and other Eagles stars from the disbanded Mali 2002 Nations Cup team was a big mistake.

He said, “Soon after the collapse of the Super Eagles team at the Mali 2002 Nations Cup, I was with the then Sports Minister, late Ishaya Mark Aku, in Abuja, when one of his aides brought a security report from the department of State Service, SSS, which the minister gave me to read.

It states that, “The disbanded Eagles players had agreed that, if the new Eagles coach should invite some of the players and not all of them for the World Cup, none of them would honour the invitation.

“Five minutes later, another security report came, and it reads, if any member of the Mali 2002 squad is invited to the World Cup 2002 team, such would be coming to sabotage the team.”

According to the former coach, he left all the disbanded stars out of the new Eagles initially for all the seven pre-World Cup friendly matches played, out of which his boys predominantly home-based stars, won five.

“It was when we played our last friendly game in England that I invited four players from the disbanded team; Taribo West, Kanu Nwankwo, Austin Okocha and Ike Shorunmu.

The four players blended with the team during the preparations until we got to the World Cup proper.

“The other three players stood neutral while Taribo West acted as the saboteur and he sabotaged the team in two crucial group games against Argentina and Sweden.

“In the match against Argentina, Taribo deliberately stood flat footed and never jumped to contest the ball from a corner kick to allow Gabriel Bastituta to score Argentina’s only goal of the match to beat Nigeria 1-0.

“If the match had ended in a draw, Nigeria would have had the chance to qualify for the next round of the competition and subsequently move to the finals of the competition.

“The second one was against Sweden, when Taribo left Henrik Larsson unmarked to score a goal. In that same match, the penalty foul Taribo committed against Henrik Larsson was also deliberate; he kicked the Swede without justification when he had the opportunity to clear the ball into safety.

“So in all, he gave out three solid goals that sent Nigeria out of the 2002 World Cup. When these happened I remembered the security report.”

Why We’ve Not Arrested Goodluck Jonathan – Vice President Osinbajo Opens Up

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has responded to calls by some Nigerians for the arrest of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, because almost all those arrested have mentioned Jonathan’s name.

VP Osinbajo said the Buhari administration does not arrest “anybody, anyhow”.

Answering questions at a session in Texas, US on Friday, on when Jonathan would be arrested by the government to answer for “looted money” under his watch, Osinbajo said the Buhari administration believes in empowering the security agencies and anti-corruption agencies to do their jobs, without the administration trying to teleguide them.

He also added that the fight against corruption in the country was not fought on ethnic, hasty or pre-mediated grounds.

“Corruption is not an ethnic thing, there is an equal representation in the stealing as no one operates with his/her ethnic group alone. The culprits are in every case seen so far, united by greed to steal and not by ethnic or religious interest,” he said.

He frowned at a situation where Billions of Dollars disappeared from the national coffers into private pockets, saying no responsible government would wave that aside so as not to offend people.

A suicide Bomber who was trying to cause havoc irreparable inside an Internally Displaced Persons camp, has been given a taste of his own medicine.

Soldiers in Maiduguri have shot dead a suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber.

Officials said the suspect was shot dead after he was spotted trying to creep into the same IDP camp that nearly came under attack by a female suicide bomber who killed herself and five others on Saturday morning.

The suicide bomber was shot dead by vigilant soldiers who opened fire on him causing one of the two bombs around his body to go off.

Saturday and Sunday’s incidents appear to indicate that the insurgents have made internally displaced persons, IDP, camps a major point of target.

According to Premium Times, a top leader of the Civilian-JTF, Alhaji Dan-Batta, revealed on phone that “the male suicide bomber was seen loitering around the back perimeter fence of Bakassi camp at about 9 a.m. He was shot down before he could advance closer to the camp. One of the bombs he was carrying exploded, but another is still strapped on his body did not explode. The anti-bomb squad operatives are trying to defuse that one”.

No other person was reported killed or injured from the explosion.

The incident did not cause any panic in the Borno capital as many residents were seen going about their daily businesses.

Sunday’s blast came as the fifth in the series of bomb attacks around Maiduguri by the Boko Haram in the last three weeks.

Since the release of 21 of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls three weeks ago, Boko Haram insurgents have scaled up their hostility mainly using improvised explosives.

The federal government had said it will be going into another round of negotiations with the insurgents with a view to securing the release of more of the girls. Despite that, the Boko Haram have continued with their terror attacks.

Neither the military nor the police have issued any statement on Sunday’s incident at the time of filing this report.

A man who had the nerve to steal cables worth a lot of money, has been punished in a most embarrassing way.

Obioma Ozokwe, a 25-year-old man, has been sentenced to recieve up to seven strokes of the cane in public and then proceed to clean a court toilet.

The man was given the sentence by a Gudu Upper Area Court in the FCT on Friday for stealing N250,000 worth of cables.

According to Vanguard, Ozokwe pleaded guilty and was convicted on a two-count charge of criminal trespass and theft.

The Upper Area court judge, Mr Umar Kagarko, cautioned the convict to desist from a life of crime and to learn a trade.

The Prosecutor, Mr Gabriel Ayana, had told the court that Gbenga Agani of Apo Resettlement reported the matter at Apo Police Station on Oct. 24.

Ayana said that the complainant reported that Ozokwe trespassed into his building site and stole armoured cables valued N250,000.

“The cables belonged to the residents of the area who kept them in the site for safety,’’ Ayana said.

He also said that during police investigations, the stolen armoured cables were recovered in the convict’s possession.

The prosecutor said the offence contravened sections 348 and 251 of the Penal Code.

Anike Agbaje-Williams is the first African woman to appear on television as a presenter. As the veteran newscaster and presenter celebrated her 80th birthday, she received a congratulatory mess*ge from President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement issued by Mr Femi Adesina, the President’s special adviser on media and publicity in Abuja on Saturday, October 29, President Buhari joins the Williams’ family, friends and the vibrant media profession, in celebrating the broadcaster.

Anike Williams is renowned for her sonorous voice with which she ruled the industry for more than 30 years. The president describes Williams as one of the pioneer African television broadcasters, better known as ‘‘Africa’s First Lady of the Tube’’, started out early with the first television station in Africa in 1959, Western Nigeria Television (WNTV).

It was also noted that the veteran journalist worked hard to inform, educate and entertain her listeners.

The statement said in part: “She also worked hard to sustain the legacy of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who established the WNTV, as a ‘surrogate teacher’.

Also, the President commended her courage and her great spirit. And he prayed that God would grant her longer life, good health and more strength in her new found love for singing in the choir after her retirement.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has embarked on a series of tweets in support of President Muhammadu Buhari on their official twitter handle.
