Police Arrest Notorious Kidnappers While Spending N12 Million Ransom Money (Photo)

Two members of a gang of notorious kidnappers have been arrested by the police while enjoying ransom money they collected after kidnapping some landlords in Lagos.

Policemen in Lagos State have arrested two deadly kidnappers who abducted three landlords and their physical trainer near Lekki Gardens Estate, Isheri along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

According to The Tribune, the suspects were arrested by the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team in Ondo State where they temporarily relocated to after the Isheri operation.

One of the arrested suspects identified as James Kegbe alias JJ, an indigene of Arogbo in Ese Odo of Ondo State had been on a spending spree in Ore after collecting N1.2 million as his share of the total ransom of N12 million paid for the victims.

He allegedly confessed to the police that he was part of the gang that abducted the landlords. He has also named other members of his gang as Julius, Victor, Trust, Senior Man, John and Prince.

The police are now looking for the other gang members.

Meet The Man Who Spent Over $25K To Look Like David Beckham And Doesn’t At All (Photo)

We all know the beautiful face above, and one young UK lad plans to spend over $65,000 to get it for himself.

There’s no doubt David Beckham is one of the most attractive guys out there. With his model-good looks, athletic prowess and equally-impressive family life with wife Victoria Beckham and their four children, a lot of people want to be him … or be like him … but here’s a guy who’s taking that desire to the extreme.

A 19-year-old Brit named Jack Johnson (no, not that one) appeared on UK’s “This Morning” earlier this week to show what he looks like after dropping $26,000 on procedures to make him look like the soccer stud.

And yes, even after all that work, he’s the first to admit he looks nothing like Becks.
“I know I don’t look like him, I’m not that stupid,” Johnson confesses in the clip above. “I got a long way to go to get my goals to look like him.”

Jack says he’ll have to spend another thirty grand to achieve his goals, after already plopping down a serious sum for cheek and chin fillers, an eyebrow lift and work on his lips and teeth. “I have tanning injections once a month to try to have his skin tone,” he adds.
Who knew that was even a thing?!

As for his weight, Johnson admits he’s “not slim like him, I ain’t got the six pack,” but plans to get a gastric band.

“I’ve had problems all my life with weight, I’m not just doing it as the quicker way to lose weight,” he says of the procedure. “I’m doing it, I’ve tried every diet in the book to lose weight, I’ve tried exercise and I can’t do it.”

The teen says he’s already had to take out loans for the work he’s had done and is in serious debt … but adds, “at the moment, I feel happy.”

Aso Rock Wears New Look Ahead Of Independence Celebration Tomorrow

The Presidential Villa, Abuja is currently wearing a new look ahead of Nigeria’s 56th Independence anniversary holding on Saturday, October 1.

Programmes earmarked for the anniversary which the government described as low-key started with an interdenominational service at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja on Sunday.

A jumat service and anniversary lecture are slated for the National Mosque, Abuja on Friday (today).
The final programme is Presidential Change of Guard scheduled to hold at the forecourt of the
Presidential Villa on Saturday.
Ahead of that programme that will attract members of the diplomatic corps, top government officials and other friends of the nation, workers were on Thursday busy giving the Presidential Villa a facelift.

All the white walls in the seat of power were repainted while the white-and-black road setbacks were also retouched.

Flowers and trees were also trimmed.

Workers of the construction giant, Julius Berger, saddled with the maintenance of the seat of power, carried out most of the exercise.

Government officials were also seen changing the numerous national and commander-in-chief’s flags at strategic places within the premises.

Canopies were also being erected in the forecourt where the event would hold while chairs were also being moved to the venue.

During the programme scheduled to start by 3pm on Saturday, there will be a ceremonial change of guards by soldiers attached to the Brigade of Guards who are in charge of the security of the
President and the Federal Capital Territory.

Buhari will inspect the guard of honour at the ceremony, cut the anniversary cake, sign the anniversary register and release pigeons to symbolise peace.

He will be assisted by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; and the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Muhammed.

See The Shocking Thing A Woman Did To Her Househelp (Photos)

A 10-year-old girl suffered serious abuse at the hands of her madam.

The woman who is known as ‘Madam Gold’ reportedly brutalised her 10-year-old househelp for yet-to-be-identified reasons.

According to a Facebook user Akwaugo Precious NG Agu, the woman showed her displeasure with whatever her househelp did to her, by pouring hot water and eventually placing a heated electric pressing iron on her.

Read what she wrote below:

This fair beautiful and elegant lady is called madam GOLD in BBA tradefair market Lagos…Just imagine how she used hot iron, to iron this 10years old girl’s body instead of ironing dresses, the poor little girl is her house help and sales girl at the same time 😔 as if that wasn’t enough for her she still boiled hot water and poured on her…. What a wicked world we live in…. Beautiful, elegant lady my foot, what makes you beautiful when you have a devilish heart ✋

I don’t blame you but rather I blame poverty, because poverty is the only thing that would make this girl’s mother to allow her daughter come to your house to serve you as a maid😤 I bet you wouldn’t do this to your own child
If I am federal government, I will send you to live imprisonment with hard labour…..your meals with only be unselected and half done beans without water 😴 madam Gold gbakwa oku… Mtchw”

Shocking! 75,000 Children Will Die In Nigeria! Beware Of 2017…

U.N. Children’s Fund warns that about 75,000 children will die next year in Nigeria.

The horrible prediction is based on famine-like conditions created by Boko Haram if donors don’t respond quickly.

The Fund stresses that’s far more than the 20,000 people killed in the seven-year Islamic uprising.

Arjan de Wagt, nutrition chief for UNICEF in Nigeria, notes that the severity of malnutrition levels and high number of children facing death make the humanitarian crisis confronting northeastern Nigeria perhaps the worst in the world.

De Wagt explains that most severely malnourished children die of secondary illnesses like diarrhea and respiratory infections.

The expert says: “But with famine, you actually die of hunger. Globally, you just don’t see this. You have to go back to places like Somalia five years ago to see these kinds of levels. Nearly 260,000 people died in Somalia between 2010 and 2012 from severe drought aggravated by war.”

On Thursday UNICEF doubled the amount of its appeal for Nigeria, saying $115 million is needed to save children. However, only $24 million has been raised so far.
Speaking about the whole society De Wagt stressed: “Of 4 million people in desperate need of food are about 2.2 million people trapped in areas where Boko Haram is operating or in newly liberated areas that still are too dangerous to reach by road. Among them, 65,000 are living in famine-like conditions.”

In their turn aid group Doctors Without Borders states: “The crisis has reached catastrophic levels for people who have sought refuge in towns controlled by the military but who are entirely reliant on outside aid that does not reach them”.

However, de Wagt admits that the agency continues to deliver some therapeutic food by helicopter and to train local health workers to treat malnourished children living in dangerous areas.

Doctors Without Borders state that the highest levels of starving children are in camps in Maiduguri, the northeastern city free of conflict where aid workers have been active for two years: “The mortality rate is five times higher than what is considered an emergency, with the main cause being hunger”.

PARA MOOD!! Man Walks Into Apple Store & Calmly Smashes Every iPhone In Sight

This is so funny and cruel…Who knows what happened to this man to send him into such an anti-Apple rage? Maybe he bought a brand new iPhone 7 only to discover that it doesn’t have a headphone jack?.

Perhaps he’d had some kind of tech glitch that sent him over the edge – or a message on a dating app that sent him into a meltdown. Or maybe he just really hates the company.

For whatever reason, the unknown unhappy customer decided to let loose with a metal ball in a French Apple store, calmly and methodically smashing up every iPhone in sight.

Untroubled by security for some time, the man – wearing sunglasses and a backpack – used what appears to be a metal pétanque ball to cause the damage.

He muttered in French as he did so, before a guard eventually came over and challenges him.

The identity of the man is not yet known.

“Why I Kidnapped My Sister’s Child” – Suspect Kidnapper Confesses

The Police in Lagos State has taken into custody a Ghanaian identified as Enyolam Believe, for allegedly kidnapping her niece in the Ikotun area of the state.

The Punch reports that a police source, who would not want his name mentioned, stated that “the suspect and the girl’s mother are sisters. Believe, however, colluded with her friend, Aigbomiam, to abduct the girl so that she could make money from the mother.”

The suspect conspired with her friend, Agatha Aigbomiam, to commit the crime last Tuesday.

They confessed to the crime while being paraded before journalists at the police command headquarters in Ikeja yesterday.

The 8-year-old child was abducted on her way to school and taken to Ogun State by Aigbomiam.

It was reported that the little girl cried out loudly to draw the attention of residents which led to the arrest of the two suspects.

The police source added that the 43-year-old Believe and the mother of the girl had searched for the child, including reporting a case of missing person at a police station.

The source added, “Their plan was that the friend would kidnap the child and hide her somewhere in Ogun State, while she would negotiate the ransom with the mother on the phone.

“When the girl went missing, the girl’s mother called her and they both searched for the girl. She even suggested that they should report the case to the police. The mother never suspected that she was behind the kidnap.”

He said the kidnapped girl raised alarm while in captivity, shouting that Aigbomiam was not her mother and called for help from some Ogun residents, who came to her aid.

The matter was said to have been reported to a community leader, who called in the police.

According to the police source, “When the police discovered that Aigbomiam was not alone in the crime and she was receiving calls from Believe, they decided to play along. They asked her to invite Believe to Ogun State.
“It was when she arrived that the police arrested her.

“The case was subsequently transferred to Lagos State where the offence was committed. That was where the mother of the girl saw that her own sister was behind her ordeal.”

Believe told newsmen that her plan was to make N30,000 from the kidnap, which she needed for a business.

She said, “I have my own children. I needed money badly that time and I thought of different ideas, which didn’t work.

“So, I decided to kidnap my sister’s daughter and demand N30,000 ransom from her. I involved my friend because I didn’t want to be the one to take the girl from school. I don’t know what came over me.”

Also, Aigbomiam, a 42-year-old trader from Ekpoma in Edo State, said Believe asked her to kidnap the victim after she returned from a surgery in Benin.

“She said she wanted to use the girl to collect some money from her sister. She just showed me the girl’s school and I kidnapped her around 7.30am on Tuesday, while she was going to school.

“I took her to my relative’s house in Ogun State. I was stupid for doing such a thing.”

The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, said the suspects will be arraigned in court at the end of investigation, while advising parents and guardians to be vigilant over their children and wards.

Don’t Waste Money! These Are 5 Clever Ways To Avoid ATM Charges At Your Next Transaction

Sometimes ATM charges can be annoying especially when it eats into the money you don’t want touched. These are certain ways you can avoid all that.

Since the introduction of the cashless policy by the Central Bank of Nigeria, banks have devised and evolved various means to make money.

One of the important ways is underhand and secret ATM charge. You will realize that whenever you use your ATM card, aside from the amount paid, you will get alert for charges. Sometimes, you will be surprised by these extra charges which are deducted without being warned beforehand. Jumia Travel shares some ideas on how to reduce or bypass these ATM charges.

1. Plan ahead

Planning your itinerary is essential to avoid ATM charges which are the easiest way to avoid these fees. You can do this by developing a budget and be certain about the cash you want.

2. Always Use the ATM machine of your bank

There are so many banking regulations that are alien to everyday bank customers. One ATM rule is that you can withdraw from other ATMs thrice a month afterwards you will be charged N65. So, always use the ATM of your bank. For example, if you own a GT bank ATM, always use a GT ATM.

3. Pay cash instead of using POS

It is very easy to shop for groceries and pay for it via POS. if you do, you will receive a fee alert. But before you shop, you should withdraw enough money from the ATM of your bank rather than pay with the POS.

4. Take as much cash as you want

Carrying large amounts of cash is not advisable. But if you really want to avoid the charges, have a reasonable amount on you wherever you go so that you don’t just use any ATM whenever you need money!

5. Go to the bank to withdraw money

Many people prefer to either use ATM or Mobile banking. It is easier. But this is a sure way for bank fees. You can simply go old school by going to the bank to withdraw money especially when the ATM of your bank is out of cash!
